Hiking up to Makapu'u lighthouse

Seven days was not enough - weird! We had a lot of loose ends to tie up, and new issues to solve that popped up, but we managed to get rested up and ready for the big jump out of the country. Lots of great family time and beach time! Made it to Makapu'u point to look for whales, but the Kilauea vog haze and wind/waves made for hard viewing. David saw one though :). Soo many wild chickens keeping us up at night - country life on the island. Got our fill and then some of kalua pork, furikake ahi, loco moco and lilikoi pancakes. So good! We desperately need to start hiking, haha. Stopped at the Pali lookout on the way to the airport, for one last look at this beautiful place.
